Goal post
a tall metallic structure that stands at the back of each end zone; Consisting of a crossbar and two uprights that extend upward from the crossbar, the goal post is stationed directly above the end line by a base. A kicker tries to put the ball between the uprights to score a filed goal or an extra point.
